Watson named to marketing, sales post at Florida Today
Watson, 40, has worked for Gannett Co. Inc, since 1993, when he joined FLORIDA TODAY's marketing department after receiving a bachelor's degree in business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Since then he has held a number of positions both at the paper and on Gannett's corporate staff. Most recently, he was East Group Marketing Director for Gannett, the nation's largest newspaper publisher. "We are excited about Greg rejoining the FLORIDA TODAY Communications team," said FLORIDA TODAY President and Publisher Mark Mikolajczyk. "His extensive knowledge of Brevard County as well as his recent role of strategic marketing across Gannett's thirty-five newspapers in the Northeast will only help to strengthen our capabilities of providing great advertising and marketing solutions for Brevard County businesses." Over the years, Watson has been involved in several civic organizations in Brevard County, including the Brevard Cultural Alliance, United Way and the Economic Development Commission of Florida's Space Coast.
