New Bomboozle game launched by BrainDash

[ClickPress, Thu May 19 2011] Bomboozle, a puzzle game that tests players' strategy and forward-thinking skills, is set to be made available as a tournament game on the site from this month.

The brightly-coloured game sees players joining blobs of the same colour in lines of three or more to clear them and let more drop down. Multicoloured blobs are wildcards and can be used in any chain.

Bombs are awarded for lines of six or more blobs, allowing gamers to do greater damage and remove more blobs!

Site editor at BrainDash Hannah Gunter is excited about the launch of Bomboozle.

"Our new game is great fun to play and is more complex than you first think - although the concept is simple, making sure you don't run out of options by removing the wrong blobs makes it more of a challenge," she explains.

"Using the bombs to get rid of extra blobs is great, but you have to be careful you don't take out any chains before you detonate them," Ms Gunter adds.

Bomboozle tournaments are played in a timed mode, so once players have got to grips with the game they can go all-out to really test their skills.

"When you start out, you can't worry too much about the time as you just need to learn how to play the game effectively, but when you are really watching the time, you will probably find you are put under a bit more pressure," Ms Gunter states.

"It's great fun and very compelling, I'd recommend that people give it a go if they're looking for something light-hearted and fun to occupy their minds," she enthuses.

Players can have fun comparing their high scores to other gamers - or just trying to beat their own personal best.

Bomboozle tournament play is a sequel to the highly popular Bomboozle game, which was developed by Megadev.

It is the latest addition to a number of puzzle games available to play on BrainDash, including Springo Bingo, Word Wrap and Monkey Trouble 2.

Players can also pit their wits against various trivia quizzes, crosswords, bingo and other games at the site.

Sudoku for Kids? Online Sudoku puzzles to Print | Puzzle Zone

Sudoku for Kids ? Online Sudoku puzzles for kids to print are a good way to start. Sudoku puzzles are logical puzzles. Using logical reasoning appropriate to the your child's age, he or she can decide how to place numbers into a Sudoku grid. There is only one correct answer for each puzzle, and no guessing is necessary.

Although Sudoku grids do use numbers, your child does not need mathematical skills to solve the puzzles.

Sudoku rules are very easy to learn. The more puzzles you solve, the better you become. Sudoku typically take a child about 20-30 minutes to complete. Perfect for journeys, waiting rooms, and rainy afternoons!

Sudoku puzzles are perfect for classroom situations, as time-fillers for children who finish early, as whole class activity, or as "homework".

Sudoku puzzles were first published in US in the 1970s and are sometimes known as "Number Squares". They have been popular for many years in Japan, where the name "Sudoku" (meaning "single number") was coined. The present craze was started late in 2004 when a UK newspaper started publishing the puzzles.
